The purpose of the MS&E-4 is to be able to replace any of the three models AMC third generation: MS&E-3C, MS&E-3M and MS&E-3R, and their modifications "D". In AMC MS&E-4 are used modern electronic components with high quality, and the last recommended by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) algorithms for work of AMC.
I. Changes in structure

IV. Compatibility and sensors

As first stage is possible only changing of the electronic unit (Data Logger) - naturally with such an option can not use the full functionality of MS&E-4, and simulate the work of any of the three models of MS&E-3.
In connection with the creation of AMC MS&E-4, new sensors for wind speed and direction are designed MS&E PISPV-4 and for measuring rainfall MS&E PIV-4M. As an electrical output, new sensors are compatible and can be used with all versions of the previous model AMC MS&E-3.
Testing of AMC MS&E-4 under natural conditions ended in March 2008 and since June 2008 it is in regular production.
